Glamorgan Hunt 2010

Entitled 'The Master's Daughter, Glamorganshire Hounds, 1897' it depicts a pretty young girl riding side saddle (who no doubt could be identified from your records of the period) in the chase with hounds all around. It is a monochrome gravure print 27"x20" in a period oak frame 41"x35". The original artist's initials - either JC or DC in lower right corner. Printed above plate in top right - London published April 2nd 1898 by I.P. Mendoza printseller and publisher to H.M. The Queen, St. James's Gallery, 4a, King St., St.James's S.W. Copyright registered. Printed in Munich.

The frame is in pretty good shape, but has a few small marks on it -  a little light restoration would help. The plate inside is very good apart from a water mark in the lower left corner, which has encroached about half an inch on to the actual image. A new mount around the image could make the whole assembly look near perfect again.
If anyone in the Hunt is interested I can submit a digital image for inspection.

low resolution images of the Victorian print. I photographed it underneath our pergola this morning & the few brighter spots on the photo are where the sunlight squeezed through the jasmine so, obviously, not on the actual print. As you can see there is the damp mark lower left, which just encroaches on the very bottom corner of the image, but I am reliably informed that this could be remedied by a restorer if needs be. The frame is in very good condition - solid oak with nice bright gilt liner and original glass. Small section of back board missing. One small scuff to face of frame can be seen top left, but I think this could also be easily remedied.
If there is any interest from your members I am happy to deliver to a Glamorgan address for £225. Equally, it may be collected from me (I am 10 miles NE of Hereford) for £200.
