Don't forget everyone this weekend it's the Glamorgan hunt hunter trials at alps park at 9.30 am on Sunday 2 nd October 2011 .

7 classes , minimus to open , all levels welcome.

Please come along and support us even if it's just to watch and enjoy a hot dog !!

Please pass on the details of the event to anyone you feel may like to compete!!

We look forward to seeing you all ... Remember the forecast is for a warm and sunny day .... Fingers crossed !!!!

I had to ask my daughter what a blog is!

What does everyone else do when hunting has finished?

Get your coat cleaned? Turn the horse away....with shoes on or off?

Clean and oil tack and store neatly until required? Clean boots?

I'll be honest ......Idon't clean my boots until the day before Opening meet, Tinkinswood mud is a good preservative for leather.......!

I would like to thank daniel and the other lad(am sorry, i didnt get your name) for the kind way in which they dealt with a beautiful little foal that just wasnt meant for this world, the lads were really great in helping us to understand what took this colts life, and as hard as it was i was thankfull for the way they dealt with the situation.

Where does the time go !!!

Its time for us to start to put the bones/ planning / schedule/ sponsorship elements of the 2010 hunter trials together!

......... and being the truely democratic hunt that we are and in true "balanced parliament " style we want every one to have the opportunity to input their ideas, energies and "cash" to make the day an enjoyable and worth while event!

........so on that note, please come forward with any ideas, suggestions, ideas for additional attractions, sponsorship opportunities or general observations / Criticisms of previous Ht's etc

This will help us enormously, we dont want the event to become stale, we do want the event to be fun, enjoyable and raise much needed hunt funds.

Deceased Mr John Ryan.

It is with reget I have to inform you of the sad loss of my uncle,Mr John Ryan of Coed Buchan Cres Llanharan,known to his friends as [Jake]. John worked as a hiway supervisor for the vale of glamorgan for twenty five years plus.Born in The Mill Brynna, he was an avid follower-supporter of the glamorgan hunt,his working area included most of the hunts meet card.Some how he managed to arrange his work where the hounds were meeting.He built up a great realationship with all the farmers in the vale and supporters of the hunt,his funeral takes place Fri eight Jan 2010 2pm Llanharan cemetary One fifteen at Brynna Chaple for the service.He will be dearly missed by his wife Lorrain son Jeff wife Janice their chidren and the grandchidren. Rest in peace your adopted son Gareth Perkins.

On behalf of the entertainment commitee we would just like to thank all those that were kind enough to turn up on sunday the 11th Oct to help out of the hunter trials. It was a long day and made harder work with the shear volume of rain we encountered. Those that turned up really did demonstrate their committement to the hunt!! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH

Also a big thank you for all those that turned up to compete, you were very brave and committed and the standard of jumping put a lot of us non competing "hunting folk" to shame !! ha ha

It really was not the best day weather wise , but dispite the awfull weather we finished the day in sunshine and managed to process 157 entries, thats 193 horse and rider combination when you include the pairs competition! When you factor in the weather and the competing events to be only 25% down was some achievement!

We will post the full results shortly, a big well done to you,ps Caroline Hellard we have your trophy in the senior novice !

We also have a purse that was left behind....so if anyone lost one, please let us know ...with a full description of what was inside....we wont say to avoid embarrasment !! .....ha ha only joking !

if in the mean time anyone has any suggestions, queries, questions or complaints...let us know ...we want the event to progress and evolve as the years roll on!

HI EVERYONE, THE COUNT DOWN IS ON FOR THE GLAMORGAN HUNT 2009 HUNTER TRIALS AT ALPS PARK ON SUNDAY 11TH OF OCTOBER.

WE ARE HOPING FOR A GOOD TURNOUT AGAIN THIS YEAR AND NEED THE HELP OF ALL THE HUNTS SUPPORTERS AND MEMBERS.

WE NEED YOU ON A HORSE AND COMPETING (CALL IT PRACTICE FOR THE NEW SEASON) OR WE COULD REALLY DO WITH HELP ON THE DAY FROM YOU !!!

THERE ARE SO MANY JOBS TO DO FROM CATERING, MANNING GATES, STEWARDING ETC ETC , THE MORE HELP WE CAN GET THE MORE FUN IT WILL BE FOR THE EVERYONE, WE CAN LIGHTEN THE LOAD OF OUR CORE SUPPORTERS AND ENSURE MORE OF US GET TO SEE THE DAYS EVENTS!!

BACON BUTTY AND A DRINK ON OFFER AS SALARY !!! AND OF COURSE OUR GRATITUDE :)
